Message reactions
Long-press any message to react with any emoji. Reactions stack so you can see at a glance how a thread landed.
What it is
A reaction is an emoji you stick on a message instead of replying with a whole new message. Long-press any message and pick from the picker — including any emoji on your keyboard, not just six pre-set ones. Reactions stack so you can see "five 😂 + two 🔥" at a glance.
How to use it
Long-press the message (or hover and click the smiley icon on desktop). The reaction picker pops up.
Tap an emoji from your recent set, or tap + for the full picker. Search by name or skin-tone-pick from the bottom row.
To remove a reaction, tap it again. To see who reacted, tap the count under the message — opens the list of reactors.
Why it matters
Reactions cut down on "lol"-only messages that clutter every thread. They also give you a low-stakes way to acknowledge someone — better than nothing, less than a reply. Honestly, it's just a faster conversation when reactions exist.
